Conditions were not great, but I bought a new camera last week, so I had to
try it out! The Camera I bought was a Canon EOS Digital Rebel. 6
MPixel Digital SLR. To show the relative conditions, I took this shot (cropped) the next night when conditions were about the same. Certainly a lot of clouds out there. (Taken through the 300 mm camera lens)
So Here is the best image I got. It is through the NexStar 8 shot at F3 (Meade Focal Reducer) By comparison, here is the size of the moon through the 300 mm telephoto I got with the camera. (Both shots are full frame)
