These are all with a 10" LX200GPS. I spent some time with the WebCam on Jupiter, but the seeing was not good enough for a reasonable image I think. In fact on one of the AVI's Jupiter looked like a man in a rubber ball trying to punch and kick his way out. :-) These images are from the Mx7C. I was using a F6.3 focal reducer and the Celestron LPR filter. In addition I stacked some extra T ring spacers to get it down to about F5 I think. (Nothing to measure it with, just a guess.) Note the moon shot at the end. With all that moonlight, it was definitely NOT dark skies. This first one is M51. I was mostly trying to get guiding working again and fight off the strong lunar light. It was a stack of 3 10 min exposures that were Star 2K guided. (Effective total exposure time of 15 min)
The next one is M13. I was still working on guiding. It was a stack of 4 * 5 min exposures that were Star 2K guided. (Effective total exposure time of 10 min)
This one is M57. It is a single 5 min exposure Star 2K guided. I was still playing with the guiding and while I took 2 other 5 min shots, they did not look good enough to stack. (Effective total exposure time of 2.5 min)
The final DSO of the night was M27. This is a stack of 2 * 5 min exposure. (Effective total exposure time of 5min)
This last picture was taken first with the Moon still high in the sky. I used the 300D with the same focal reducing setup. It is actually a stack of 14 RAW images. This final processed image is cropped and a 4 x reduction in size. (bin) (click on it for a larger sized version (only bin 2x))
